Rules
A few simple rules so everyone has a good time. By playing on SileneMC, you accept them.
What's not allowed
- Cheating: hacked clients, mods that give an advantage (kill aura, fly, x-ray, autoclick…), macros.
- Exploiting a bug instead of reporting it with /bug.
- Insults, harassment, discrimination and threats.
- Unsportsmanlike play: teaming with opponents, sabotaging your team, fixing a match or a leaderboard.
- Advertising other servers, scams and shady links.
- An offensive name, skin or prefix, or pretending to be staff.
The same rules apply on Discord.
Chat
At most one message every 1.5 seconds, and never the same one twice within 30 seconds. No flooding and no repeated caps. /ignore hides a player who bothers you.
Sanctions
Staff choose a sanction proportionate to the offence, and give the reason. It can be temporary or permanent.
| Sanction | What it does |
|---|---|
| Warning | A reminder of the rules, kept in your history. |
| Mute | You can't write in chat, for a set time or permanently. |
| Kick | You're removed from the server; you can come back right away. |
| Ban | You can't connect, for a set time or permanently. |
| Removal of a gain | Anything won unfairly (coins, ELO, wins, leaderboard places) is taken back. |
| Hiding | An inappropriate name, prefix or message is removed or hidden. |
Some competitive (MDT) sanctions are public, without the moderator's name.
Report a player or a bug
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/report <player> <reason> |
Report a player to staff. |
/signaler |
Report a chat message on Bedrock (on Java: the ⚑ before the message). |
/bug <text> |
Report a bug: where, when, what happens. |
False reports, or reports made to cause harm, are sanctioned too.
Appeal a sanction
Open a ticket on Discord explaining why: staff review the sanction and get back to you.
